Body of Sweat
2026 -
An ongoing poetic study of endurance, salt, friction, and release.

  • Raindrops fell on my skin

Like a thousand salty kisses, crystallizing
    over porous, glistening spots.

    I moved my body forward
    into the vast field,
    tensing and releasing muscle.

    Sweat dripping down,
    washed by cold water.

    Some bubbles formed
    over my body like pain
    wanting to be remembered
before it made way for euphoria
    in a burst of shimmer.

  • When I went out for a run
I felt aches instead of joy.

    My thighs heavy,
    wrapped in cement.

    Between my legs
    sweat boiled
    and spread like wildfire.

    I begged for mercy.

    Desperate to endure,
    I held my breath
    and kept running,
    wobbling like an anchor
    dragged across dry ground.

    The burn gnawed at me.
    Tears blurred the trail.

    Sweat carved
    my skin open—
    a release that punished
on its way out. text goes here
